NEICC Sisters Annual Ramadan Iftar Dinner
The Ladies-Only Ramadan Iftar, organized by the North East Islamic Community Center (NEICC), brought sisters together for an evening of friendship, reflection, and the beauty of Ramadan.
The gathering created a warm and welcoming space where faith, sisterhood, and community spirit came together in a truly special way.
Alhamdulillah, attendance exceeded expectations, with many first-time participants, especially young attendees, joining us.
The evening began with warm table conversations, followed by iftar dua and a short reminder about the value of Ramadan and the beauty of gathering. Sisters from Egypt, Bangladesh, Albania, and Guinea shared their Ramadan traditions and cultural heritage, highlighting the diversity within our community.
A Kahoot quiz based on the presentations added excitement, and small gifts were awarded to winners.
We were deeply moved by reflections from two sisters experiencing their first Ramadan and exploring Islam and fasting for the first time.
May Allah accept from all who attended and allow us to continue creating welcoming spaces for faith, culture, and sisterhood.
