Social & Family Night: Parenting & Growing Together

NEICC Social Family Night brought everyone together, and the room filled with laughter and friendly competition during kahoot. Parents, youth and families filled the hall for an evening built around one theme: building stronger connections with our youth.

The night opened with prayer, followed by a potluck dinner. Families brought their favorite dishes, and every table had something delicious to share. Our featured speaker, Ustadh Muheez Rehman, then gave an engaging presentation on parenting in today’s world. He drew on research in cross-cultural psychology and on the Islamic understanding of family and culture. His talk offered practical insights on understanding, guiding and staying close to our children through every stage of life.

An open discussion followed, with parents and young people sharing their own experiences and questions. To close the night, a lively Kahoot quiz brought everyone together, and the room filled with laughter and friendly competition.

Our children are a trust, and together we can help them thrive in faith and life. We’re grateful to Ustadh Muheez Rehman, to Northeast Young Professionals, to every family who brought a dish, and to the volunteers who made the evening possible.
