Nurturing Our Future: Faith, Values, and Vision Together

On Saturday, July 13, 2025, the North East Islamic Community Center (NEICC) hosted a memorable Family Halaqa featuring Kareem M. Irfan, Esq., Past Vice President of ISNA, as our honored guest speaker.

The evening’s theme, “Nurturing Our Future: Faith, Values, and Vision Together,” brought together families from across our community to reflect on the importance of grounding our children and ourselves in strong Islamic values while preparing for the challenges of the future.

Mr. Irfan shared valuable insights from his years of leadership and community engagement, emphasizing how faith and ethical principles can guide our vision as individuals, families, and as a collective ummah in America. His reflections inspired many to think about practical ways to live our values in daily life while fostering unity and service.

A light dinner was served, and childcare was provided, allowing families to fully participate in the enriching discussions. The atmosphere was warm, uplifting, and full of brotherhood and sisterhood.

Friday Khutbah

In addition to the evening program, Mr. Irfan also delivered the Friday Khutbah, where he reminded the congregation about the prophetic model of building communities rooted in justice, compassion, and service to humanity. His khutbah beautifully tied into the halaqa’s theme, leaving the community spiritually motivated and ready to carry forward the message.
