THE PATH OF PROPHET (PBUH) ACTIVITIES

North East Islamic Community Center in collaboration with Boston Dialogue Foundation organized “The Path of The Prophet” at Cambridge Rindge and Latin School on January 23,2014.

About five hundred guests composed of Turkish, Ahiskan and Azeri origins attended the event. The event started with a complimentary dinner. Then, the director of BDF, Bekir Senates, gave a welcome speech and summarized some of the BDF activities.

After the welcome speech, program continued with live recitation from Holy Qur’an. Then, Bekir Senates gave a keynote speech. He explained the general attributes of the prophets and elaborated on the trustworthiness and gave examples from the life of the beloved Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). Then, Reha Yeprem, a well-known figure in Turkey, read poems composed by different authors to express their love to the Prophet. Then, Suleyman Erkisi, a well-known music composer as well as a singer in Turkey, sang songs of his own compositions. The event ended with a little performance by the children of different ages praying for peace and blessing on the prophet Muhammad (pbuh).
