Community Leadership Seminar-2

 

 

North East Islamic Community Center organized a three-session workshop on community leadership. The second session was held on Sunday, September 23rd  in Clifton, NJ. This sessions topic mainly focused on identifying and practicing effective communication skills:  Commune, Collaborate and Cultivate.

The instructor of the program allowed participants to list strengths and barriers to each element. Attendees gained a better understanding of how to lead more effectively and create stronger group norms by using these key elements. They practiced strategies on building a caring community and developing group norms.

We look forward to the third session where attendees will practice on creating. They will apply what they have learned in these sessions into action.
