Learning About Islam” Presentation in St. John’s Episcopal Church Lancaster, PA

St. John’s Episcopal Church in Lancaster organized a seminar with Turkish Cultural Center of PA. Mr. Fatih Akdemir, a volunteer at TCC of Lancaster and representative of Northeast Islamic Community Center (NEICC) held a presentation about basic concepts of Islam, women in Islam, common values between Christianity and Islam. Also he emphasized on misconceptions Muslims and current topics. During the presentation participants showed great interest and asked many questions to get the real picture of religion and religious people in Islam.

This event was scheduled by St. John’s Episcopal Church as part of their lecture series for their members. After presentation, some fresheners were offered. Church members gave a tour of the Church and inform guests about the history. TCCPENN in accordance with its mission organizes such events to promote a better understanding of religion among people of different faith.
