NEICC COMMUNITY SEMINAR

North East Islamic Community Center of Rochester organized a community seminar.Seminar topics are constructive language, seeking the truth, and always abiding by the law among other things.

The great educator, speaker, and Imam Yayha Akin of Turkey visited the Turkish Cultural Center of Rochester. Because Imam Yahya has educated thousands of imams and muftus during his some 30 years tenure at Haseki, he is also known as the imam of the imams. The gathering, co-organized by the North East Islamic Community Center of Rochester, brought together the Turkish community of Rochester.

 

During his talk, the great imam explained how a believer should respond when there is disagreements between communities of muslim people. He advised constructive language, seeking the truth, and always abiding by the law among other things. He noted that the rulers of muslim countries have to follow these instructions as well.
