New York Quran Contest and Award Ceremony

New York Quran Contest and Award Ceremony was held at Kings Bay Y on Sunday, April 29 2018. North East Islamic Community Center (NEICC) Vice President Orhan Cetin gave a remarkable opening speech about the importance of teaching and learning Quran. Ibrahim Atasoy recited a beautiful Quran Tilawat and left the audience mesmerized. The 46 contestants from grades K-8 have demonstrated an outstanding performance and gained the hearts and support of the 200 attendees as the audience.

For each category: 1st place winners received $100, 2nd place winners received $75 and 3rd place winners received $50 gift cards. All the contest participants received an unforgettable Crystal Award.

The program ended with an amazing Ilahi singing performance by Ertugrul Erkisi and Aslihan Erkisi. The Ceremony was phenomenal and left the audience look forward to the next year.
