Straightforwardness (Istiqama)

Surely those who profess, “Our Lord is Allah,” and then follow the Straight Path (in their belief, thought, and actions), they will have no fear, nor will they grieve. They are the companions of Paradise, abiding therein as a reward for what they used to do. (al-Ahqaf 46:13–14)

 

52. Sufyan ibn Abdullah, may Allah be pleased with him, said, “I said, ‘O Messenger of Allah, tell me something about Islam which I could not ask from anyone but you.’ He said, ‘Say, “I have believed in Allah” and then go straight.’” (Sahih Muslim, Iman, 62).
