The Tarawih Prayers
583. Abu Hurayra, may Allah be pleased with him, reported that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Anyone who prays in Ramadan motivated by belief and in expectation of the reward will be forgiven his past wrong actions.” (Sahih al-Bukhari, Iman, 37; Sahih Muslim, Salatu’l-Musafirin, 173).
585. Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, said, “When the last ten days of Ramadan started, the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, used to pray during the night, wake up his family and intensify his efforts.” (Sahih al-Bukhari, Laylatu’l-Qadr, 5; Sahih Muslim, Itikaf, 7).
